WEEK 1:

This week I decided to brainstorm particular themes that I was interested in for my final folio presentation. There were so many themes that I like so it’s hard to pick a particular one. I brainstormed themes such as the cityscape with a contrast of black and white vs. colour because that is one of my favourite elements, as well as crowds and abstract perspectives of landscapes.

Some photographers that I researched were:
Andrew Prokos: Landscape/cityscape focus
Dave Beckerman: Urban/city focus
Christopher Becker: City Focus
Kathleen Crislip: Black and white vs. colour

These artists inspired me because of their cityscape focus and their use of colour and black and white contrast.

On the weekend I went into the city and took a few photographs, in particular graffiti artwork and tram lines. I chose to take the Tram line photograph in Greyscale because it was a rainy day and it suited the scene. The graffitti photograph looks better in colour for obvious reasons.
